Charitable Contributions / Social Programs
Contribution Guidelines
The mission of GeorgiaSkies Social Programs is
to actively support the communities we serve and to strengthen our
reputation through strategic investment of our people, resources and
network.
Available resources include financial contributions,
in-kind transportation services and coordination of volunteer services by
our employees.
Requests are accepted year-round and generally are
reviewed within three weeks of receipt. GeorgiaSkies prefers to
contribute to specific program needs rather than special events or capital
campaigns. Because of the large volume of requests we receive, we are unable
to accept requests made via telephone or email.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should review our guidelines to determine
whether the organization or program is eligible based on our criteria.
Selected charities must be registered 501(c)(3) organizations in good
financial and public standing.
GeorgiaSkies is especially interested in
supporting nonprofit organizations that request: 5% or less of a total
project budget; contingency grants; or seed monies with the thought that
other sources will contribute matching amounts. Organizations must show
evidence of competent management, low administrative/fundraising expense
ratios, and a nondiscriminatory program benefiting broad segments of the
community. We heavily weigh the potential involvement of our employees in
groups that seek our financial support.
Although requests are judged on individual merits,
contributions are generally not available for the following:
-
Additional funds to organizations already under a
multi-year commitment
-

charity-benefit sporting events
-
