Q & A |
Q: What cities does New Mexico Airlines serve?
A: New Mexico Airlines currently offers more scheduled
service to more New Mexico destinations than any other airline. Destinations
and schedules are dictated by customer responses to our web survey.
Q: Ruidoso seems to be getting a lot of service. What's up with
that?
A: Sierra Blanca Regional Airport will have nonstop
service to Albuquerque, Hobbs, Alamogordo and Midland, and one-stop service
to El Paso as part of a major expansion that makes it easy to get away to
all the great things Ruidoso has to offer throughout the year.
Q: What about El Paso? Will you ever serve El Paso?
A: Service to El Paso is scheduled to begin 01 MAR 08,
subject to availability of airport accommodations. We are working closely
with El Paso Airport officials to ensure a successful launch.
Q: Why isn't the airline serving Taos?
A: The FAA denied New Mexico Airlines' request to add Taos
to the approved list of airports it provides scheduled service to, because
the airport lacks a particular type of certification. The airline has
requested that FAA reconsider the ruling, and is awaiting action on its
request.
Q: Why has service been suspended to Santa Fe?
A: The City of Santa Fe has offered several airport
incentives to certain airlines providing new service to the city; including
free use of airport terminal and counter space, and landing fee waivers. New
Mexico Airlines has asked the City to extend it the same incentives and
considerations they have to other new carriers entering the market. The City
appears to be taking the position that incentives are available only to
interstate - as opposed to intrastate - carriers; however, the majority of
passengers traveling on New Mexico Airlines to and from Santa Fe are making
out of state connections on other airlines via Albuquerque. New Mexico
Airlines has asked the FAA to review the situation, and looks forward to
resuming service to Santa Fe as soon as airport business conditions
permit.
Q: I am holding prepaid bulk tickets for the previous air service provider. Can I get a refund?
A: Yes. Contact the airline and advise them that you would like a refund for any unused bulk tickets.
Q: What times are flights offered?
A: Our timetable contains
detailed destination, departure and arrival information. Departure times are determined
to the greatest extent possible by customer responses to
our web survey.
Q: How many planes does the airline have?
A: New Mexico Airlines currently operates three factory new 2007 Cessna Grand Caravan
aircraft with options to acquire several more.
Q: Where can I book reservations?
A: You can purchase travel on this web page! New Mexico begins here.
